Dragon Run 2004 Cliff Notes ;)

The Dragon thread on MINI2 is very long with a lot of chit/chat so I hope this condensed information helps. A list of attendees is being kept here http://www.geocities.com/minicoopersgirl/DragonList.html by MINICooperSGirl.  If you are planning on attending there is a link to email her on this page. 

They are trying to keep count. MINIs will begin arriving Thursday, April 29 at all lodging locations with a meet and greet dinner planned by the Atlanta MINI club (courtesy of ATLaura). 

The location will be Tapoco Lodge.  Details are not finalized at this time. Friday morning, April 30, 8AM the MINI parade is planned for the official Dragon Run.  Meet at Tapoco but Deal's Gap would work too as all MINIs from all lodging will pass by that point. Friday Night 6PM Dragon's Breath Chili Cookoff by DC Metro MINIs at Fontana Village 6PM.  Read about it here:  http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53128  

They do want you to indicate if you will attend and if you will be entering a Chili dish in the competition.  If not entering the cook-off bring along a dish to share (MINI themed if possible). 

There will also be an exhaust shoot out happening at the same time.  No, this is not what you think...it is MINI exhaust sounds from those who have done exhaust modifications, ha ha. It is likely that Saturday morning, May 1 will start at the base of Fontana Dam, lining up the MINIs for a group picture from the top of the dam. 

Time is not set yet.  From that point Triumphrider, a motorcyclist and MINI owner from north GA, is to lead a drive through scenic roads in the area.
